I know I will have to rewrite it a thousand times if I don't just let it sit until I finish the book. If I can link the beginning scene and ending scene, it seems to make the book hold together better. Agents and editors read the first page, and maybe only the first page, to see if they want you to send in the rest of your manuscript.
