This reminds me of the decorated "four corners" in Mission Viejo at La Paz and Chrisanta Drive. One corner for a life-sized Nativity Scene, one with a giant decorated Christmas tree w/ presents beneath, the third with Santa in a sleigh and his reindeer, and the fourth with a large (lightable) Menorah and Dreidle.
Perhaps because these precious holidays come at the end of the year it gives us all a chance to reflect on the past year and look forward to the New Year. A most joyous Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. The season really does have a meaning we should not let disappear.

ReplyDeleteSo true, Gayle. We end one year with celebration and begin a new one with renewed commitment, whether it's to do more, or do better.
ReplyDeleteOr both! Happy Holidays, one and all.
